Our Story

Our Aunty Elaine was born in Kaneohe, Hawaii, in 1941. As Elaine grew up, she loved spending time in the kitchen with her grandmother. The two spent hours together making their favorite recipes – one of which was a special family salad dressing recipe.

Elaine came to cherish this recipe for the memories it carried. As she moved through life, Elaine introduced the salad dressing to more and more family and friends who were enamored with its all-natural ingredients and savory flavors of the islands and Japan. In 1981, Aunty Elaine's Island Dressing premiered at her first restaurant, Dai-Ichi, to much acclaim.

Our family is proudly passing the recipe on through our new product, inspired by the 80-year-old recipe, aptly named Aunty Elaine's Island Dressing. This island dressing is currently available for sale on Amazon!
